Vacation at a Tuscan Villa
If you’ve ever dreamed of staying in a Tuscan villa overlooking endless rows of vineyards and olive trees, we can recommend the perfect property: Tenuta Poggio ai Mandorli, owned and managed by the Trambusti Family.
Located within the the extensive Trambusti vineyards (over 125 acres), the property consists of three separate apartments. Prices change somewhat during the season, but typically range from $90-$125 per night.
Every apartment has a fully-equipped kitchen, including a dishwasher, full-size refrigerator, dishes, cookware, coffee makers and a washer/dryer. Bathrooms come with toiletries, towels and hairdryers.
Each apartment has spectacular views of the Tuscan countryside and a private garden terrace. A pool and barbecue area are available to guests as well. And children are welcome. Cribs and highchairs can be requested.
The smallest apartment, 646 square-feet, has one bedroom and can accommodate two persons. The second apartment is 753 square-feet and has two bedrooms. One bedroom has a queen-size bed, while the other has three twin beds.
The largest apartment is split-level with 969 square-feet. There are two bedrooms, each with queen beds and a living room with sofa bed. A fireplace is also in this unit.
Tenuta Poggio ai Mandorli is located in Greve, the capital of Tuscany. There, visitors will find any number of good tavernas and enotecas, shops and a weekly market. The walled city of Montefioralle is a 20-minute walk from Greve. One of the most ancient villages in Chianti, the city is still very much intact. The first settlement dates from 1085. It was here that Amerigo Vespucci – the mapmaker for whom the Americas are named – was born.
Siena and San Gimignano are a 20 minute drive from Tenuta Poggio ai Mandorli; Florence is an hour away, approximately. Needless to say, there are an endless number of wineries in the area. The Trambusti Family manages the estate and are happy to help arrange tours and/or wine dinners. For more information, visit Chianti Trambusti.
Benvenuti in Chianti! Goditi la permanenza.
