Manhattan’s Perennial Magic
No matter what the season, New York is always a great travel getaway — even if you live there. Emma Tang, über-talented web designer (and the accomplished technician behind both our Travel Curious Often and Michel Thibault Wine sites) displays her photographic expertise here, with a few favorite photos of her hometown.

Iconic arch at Washington Square Park in the West Village. Washington Square Park is always bustling with street performers, live music, and plenty of grass and benches to relax.

Egyptian Wing at the Metropolitan Museum of Art – arguably one of the most famous art museums in the world. This museum has exhibits spanning over 5,000 years and is so expansive it takes multiple days to explore all of the artifacts and art.

One World Trade Center, the tallest building in the United States

The Vessel in Hudson Yards is a “choose your own adventure” with winding staircases that lead to the top along various paths.

The view from the Edge is incredible. Come during the day or at sunset for a view of Manhattan that cannot be seen from the streets!

Take a day trip to Governor’s Island for a relaxing escape from the bustle of the city. An easy hop on the ferry will take you across the water in minutes where you’ll have miles of car-free roads to explore, plus great views of the Statue of Liberty.
